Dinner-a vision from God?

Okay, today wasn't the best day for me! One of those non stop, never quiet days. aahhhh...

I was really tired by late afternoon. I laid down to rest, (just a ten minute plan), but was awoken by screams of "poop, poop". You probably don't want to hear the rest, but it involved a shower! Need I say more?

I cleaned up and moved back to the rest, (10 minutes again), but was awoken with more cries of "poop". This time it was the aftershock of the storm. More clean up and...nap? No, I gave up. Please, don't feel sorry for me. I should be in bed right now, not posting on blogger!

Okay, so I had no dinner plan for tonight, which is defeating in itself. I had a general idea of Tamale Pie, but couldn't find the recipe! argghhh!!!

All of the sudden, at I won't tell you what time, I had a picture in my mind of ground beef, potatoes, and corn in a soup type mixture. So I set to work, soliciting volunteers to shuck the corn and wash the potatoes. I cooked the meat and threw it all in a pot with some water, garlic, salt, and beef broth. Big Hunk came home and added leftover taco meat. And...

It was great! We served it with sliced french bread. Delicious!

Was this something I'd seen before? I don't know. At the very least I remembered it which in and of itself is a gift from God, at most it was a vision and I should be writing a cookbook!

So, there's a story for you. I tricked you with the dinner title and threw in some poop for fun!

I'll say "good night" now since I don't want to repeat this pattern again tomorrow!

You're so funny! Sometimes those throw together meals are even better than what you have planned. Loved the poop! poop! Hopefully, it's the child I would suspect. If it wasn't...
