Outside my window... It's a beautiful, sunny day with a chilly breeze! I love it!
Yesterday was the just as pretty and on a drive my Jelly Bean wanted to stick her hands and face out the window. I wish I could have gotten a picture of her cute face from outside of the car.
I am thinking... That I am just really enjoying the day. It started out a bit rocky with a late shower and a couple of kiddos that seemed to roll out of bed bickering. One decision made the difference. We packed up school books and some snacks and headed to the park for a good 2 and half hours. We got almost all of our school done, met some neighbors and played!
I am thankful for... God's grace that gives me a new day everyday. I know I'm a mess with a lot of failures. Sometimes my weaknesses and failures are overwhelming, but our God gives sinners like me a new start and I'm so thankful for the hope, freedom and peace that it brings!
From the learning rooms...Looking at some new curriculum. We're getting ready to move onto "1850's to Modern Times" from My Father's World. I'm getting excited!
From the kitchen... The butter is warming on the countertop for some chocolate chip cookies. I need to take them to the fire station in exchange for getting my blood pressure checked. I'm not worried, but I promised the midwife that I would get it checked occasionally since I'm now blank years old. Sorry, can't bring myself to post that.
I am wearing... Sweat pants, sweat shirt and pony tail. So comfy.
I am creating... A baby!
I am going... In a bit I will be taking some totally cute boys to Royal Rangers.
I am reading...Peace Making Women by Tara Klena and Judy Dabler. Very good and challenging. It's definitely speaking to me!
I am hoping...to pay off medical bills. Enough said on that one.
I am hearing...Music samplers from Pixie's ipod. I think she's got a dance group going on in the other room.
Around the house...The usual clutter and some extra laundry on the couch waiting to be folded.
One of my favorite things...Special days like today with beautiful weather and enough of a break from the ordinary to refresh us.
A few plans for the rest of the week:I'm looking forward to Mom's Night Out tomorrow night, cleaning out some drawers in my dresser (weird, I know), finishing Chocolate Chip's reading book on Friday.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
I like to call this picture "The Grumpy Crab Fishermen". You know, you meet so many people who are happy to share their profession with you that I assumed these guys would be just like that. Not So! They wouldn't take a second to share. I actually did climb up onto their boat to see the crabs that they had caught and get a picture. I was pretty sure that the boss may throw me off at any moment. After he made some (what I consider) rude comment about me being there, I decided it would be best to leave. Yes, he scared me away! Well fine, he could have encouraged to become a crab fishergirl, but instead I'm going to ditch that idea and stay a mom. That'll show him!
